"I’ve never met a student more prepared to fight for the rights of those marginalized by gender and sexual orientation than Rachel because she’s ready to fight and fight again and fight again.  She’s in it for the long haul up that spiral."

Scott Proudfit, advisor for Elon Feminists (EFFECT)

"Rachel started our journal, When Women Waken, with us. Rachel was on the readers team, interacting with contributors very professionally and warmly, did all the layout on the website at www.whenwomenwaken.org and made suggestions on the workflow and design. She also designed the cover once our team agreed on the cover image. On the second issue of When Women Waken, we let Rachel take the lead as managing editor, to really get a feel for what's involved. She did a beautiful job. The journal would not have happened were it not for Rachel's enthusiasm, initiative and substantial contributions to its online production.

It was a pleasure working with Rachel, and her contributions definitely moved us to another level."
